Simple bagjii for the visitors.
BAJII
For Batter:
2 cups chana flour
2 tbs rice flour
1/4 tsp asafetida powder
2 tsp chillie powder
salt to taste
Veges for bajji
1 potato
1 big onion
1 eggplant
1 green plantain
oil
Cut all the vege into thin rounds.
Combine all the ingredients for the batter in a big bowl. Add water slowly, while beating with a whisk.
The mixture should have the consistency of pancake batter.
Heat oil in a wok. Dip the vege slices in the batter.
slide them into the oil and deep fry them till golden.
Remove from the oil and drain. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
Note: you can also use cauliflower florets.

My personal fav is onion,bread & capsicum...adhilum bread sandwich bajjina innum nalla irukkum... just spread chutneys(like mint chutney /tomato sauce etc) of ur choice & make small sandwiches..dip it in the batter carefully & deepfry..
