Peanut Butter

Peanut Butter:

I make peanut butter at home just coz I can control the amt of oil that goes into it...

Just grind & scrape sides & scrape sides & grind & grind enough roasted groundnuts,karumbu sakkarai & salt(all ingre to taste) until the groundnut starts to leave oil... U can add lil oil to help in grinding... what I do is I make a smooth but tight paste(can't spread on the bread easily) ... I store the PB in the fridge & when needed, I take out just the req qty of PB & add lil warm water to it & mix it with a spoon... tht way I get PB of spreading consistency... aprom enna...spread the PB & jam/banana slices onto bread slices & eat...Yum...

Another added benefit is groundnut + brown sugar is said to help increase good cholesterol... storebought ones use white sugar & lotsa preservatives... max time taken to prepare the PB is 5 mins or so...
