DRY MOONG DAL FILLING



Ingredients:

½ cup split moong dal
½ tsp cumin seeds
¼ tsp garam masala
1 tsp mango powder
½ tsp chillie flakes
¼ tsp ginger paste
A pinch of asafoetida powder
Little curry leaves chopped
1 tsp oil
Salt to taste

Method:
Soak the moong for 30 minutes.
Drain and grind coarsely, with very minimum water.

Heat a wok with the oil, add in the cumin and asafoetida powder.
Once the cumin splutters, add in the curry leaves.
Now add in the ground dal, ginger paste , lower the heat and keep stirring.
Keep stirring till the dal does not stick to the wok.

Now add in the garam masala, chillie flakes, mango powder, salt.
Stir it until the mixture dries very well.
Use it as a filling.
