Kadamba Kulambu

Suvai's Kadamba Kulambu:

here is another superrrr recipe from my kitchen.
it is called "Kadhamba Kuzhambu"
basically u can use all vegies like
murungai/poosani/chow chow/kathirikai/green peas/carrot/potato.
chop these into big pieces (1 1/2 inch alavu) ellam serthu two handful nu vachikongalen.

in the mean time in 1/2 tsp ghee fry....kadalai parupu 1 Tblspn, Dhania 1 Tblspn, 5 red chillies....fry these in low fire & allow it to cool

u will need about one handful of varutha coconut brownish color ( just as we use for coconut rice)

now mix this with kadalai parupu/dhania/milagai & add water & grind it nicely & keep aside.

In a paathiram....add little oil....add little mustard seeds/little venthayam/ little jeera & once the mustard splutters.....add chopped onions & 3 slit green chillies ( kaaram use as per yr wish) & mashed up riped tomatoes (this should be like 1 handful).

add turmeric & keep stirring after 3 minutes add all the vegies & coat it well in the tomato mix. Now add about 2 teaspoon full of rasam powder..(u can use MTR). mix this well & now add water & allow it to boil & let the raw smell of rasam powder goes...add salt.
& boil for about 10 mins. Now add the ground coconut paste & mix it & allow it boil & nalla kuzhamba sernthu varum....apo add chopped kothamalli to it & bring it down.

kathamba kuzhambu ready...Wink enjoy!! i am sure u will like the taste....its usually made for Thiruvadirai !!!
