PIZZELLE
Ingredients:
¾ cup caster sugar
3 eggs beaten
¾ cup melted butter
2 tsp vanilla essence
½ tsp aniseeds
1 ½ cups all purpose flour
Little powdered sugar
1 Pizzelle maker
Method:
In a bowl , beat the sugar and eggs.
Add in the melted butter, vanilla and aniseeds.
Add in the flour and beat the mixture until smooth.
Preheat your pizzelle maker, brush with vegetable oil.
Drop batter with a tablespoon, onto the preheated grid.
Close lid and bake approximately 50 seconds.
Lift the lid and remove the cooked pizzelles with edge of a fork.
Place them on paper towel lined cooling racks in single layers.
Cool completely and sprinkle each with the powdered sugar.
When cool you can place them in airtight containers.
