BANANA BREAD (MEERRA )


BANANA BREAD

Ingredients:

1 cup sugar
2 cups all purpose flour
¾ tsp baking powder
¾ tsp salt

¼ cup melted butter
1/3 cup plain yogurt
2 tbs flaxseed powder , mixed with 6 tbs water
1 ½ cups pureed bananas
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 tbs orange zest
¼ tsp cinnamon powder

Method:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease a loaf pan and keep aside.

Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a container, keep aside.
In a bowl, add, add in the butter, yogurt, flaxseed powder,
pureed bananas, vanilla essence, orange zest, and the cinnamon powder.
Use a whisk and whisk everything well.

Now, fold in the flour using a spatula and mix till well incorporated.
Pour into the prepared greased loaf pan.
Bake for about an hour or until a cake tester inserted in the centre,
comes out clean. Remove and let it cool before removing.

Serve it with jam, butter or peanut butter.
Or you can eat it as it is.

NOTE: You can add little fresh milk if you find your better too thick.
